In neuroscience, the concept of ‘flow’ is currently a popular topic in the field. Flow describes a specific mental state that allows us to focus intensely on a single task or subject matter.
James Arthur Lovell, Jr., one of the first American astronauts to fly and orbit the moon once said, “Be thankful for problems, if they were less difficult, someone with less ability ...
The storm is all around us. The Coronavirus COVID-19 disease which was declared a global pandemic by WHO has an alarming fatality rate and it instills fear and panic in our daily lives.
Do you have the knack to accept the things you can change and the things you can't change? Can you accept the numerous changes that occur in your life? There's a phrase that says: a leopard can't change its spots.
We, like the leopard, there are certain facts in our life we simply can't change. For example, you can't change your past. You can't stop the time. You can't change the fact that we must eat in order to live. But you've all the power to change today and the future which In turn the "today" will become the past when we arrive in the future. So, watch out how you live.
When You Learn To Accept, You'll Learn To Discover
When you are able to accept things in life, including you and other people you find a way to take charge. When you're in command, it helps you to see how you are able to better your personal life. When you learn to accept you'll learn to discover you.
Many individuals in the world believe that when we act the same way at all times, we have instituted our identity. Politically incorrect! We have emotions, thoughts, behaviors, actions, and have been infested by a world of influences both great and foul. Every day we will feel something new, which causes our personality to reflect these modifications.
We live in a world that desensitizes us. We're surrounded by millions of influences on TV, in the media, on radio, the internet, in homes, government, schools, etc. Each to their own, but everybody is judging somebody at some time, which is something we have to accept. We can't alter these people’s behaviors and ways of thinking, but we may change ours. This is a component of learning and accepting.
The best way around the world is to become your own influence and let other influences make another person's life misfortunate. It has been said: one man's meat is another man's poison. Know your tastes, make the necessary changes, and move on striving to achieve your dream.
"Anyone who accepts his testimony can affirm that God is true."
John 3:33, NLT.
Your Good Conduct Can Change Others
Once you learn to accept you'll be eager to laugh. Take, for example, if somebody makes you crazy you'll see the humor in his or her actions. You might see the humor in your actions if you make an error and feed into their stupidity. Once you begin to see the humor in life, you'll feel better inside. When you learn to change to better you, others might follow. Good conduct has proven far more effective than words to promote others to change. Actually, action speaks louder than words!
As you grow you'll feel a fresh hunger, and that hunger will guide you to discover fresh ways to better you. In time as you begin to feel better, you will see a need to exercise, eat correctly, and hang out with positive influences, and so on. Once you feel this hunger, you'll feel inspired to labor to accomplish your goals.
"Then Peter replied, 'I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism.
In every nation, he accepts those who fear him and do what is right.'"
Acts 10:34-35, NLT.
Here's the video that answers the question; What is self-acceptance?
What is the thing that is most holding you back from being the best version of yourself?
You might be tempted to say something along these lines of ‘time’, ‘energy’, ‘money’ or ‘opportunity’. Perhaps you feel limited by other people in one way or another?
I have a hunch, and let me tell you the one thing which is a big part of what’s holding you back is: your own sense of self. In other words: you might well be limited by your attachment to the ‘old you’. The other thing is the eagerness to be seen as consistent and reliable instead of focusing on what matters most - the actual results. You're wearing a personality mask to disguise yourself by expressing yourself and then trapped to go on to molds your appearance to fit the way people expected to see you. And as a result, your happiness depends on other people's approval. In a real sense, you appear to have no confidence in yourself and as a result, you can not think independently.
Matthew Kelly, the author of the book: Becoming the Best Version of Yourself, once said, "Freedom is not the ability to do whatever you want. Freedom is the strength of character to do what is good, true, noble, and right."
Please, I plead to you, the first step to becoming the best version of yourself is let the best version of you, that makes you unique, to start living towards your life's goals. Leave an unforgettable mark for the future generation that you existed and walked on this planet. You've to find your destiny. And to realize that, you've to nurse and nurture the best version of yourself
"Don't favor others so much that you harm yourself,
or defer to others to the point that you cause your own downfall."
Sirach 4:22, NLT.
Consistency
We all have an attachment to who we think we are. We all have a notion of ourselves and of who others think we are as well. For example, you may see yourself as someone lighthearted who is never serious. Or perhaps you see yourself as being a local at heart, who supports the local sports team and who would never leave home.
We like the sense of continuity that this brings and other people like the fact that they know where they stand with us.
We don’t want to do something that is ‘out of character’ and we don’t want to go back on things we’ve said.
But is this really something you should cling to? Maybe your concept of ‘you’ is outdated? Now you know better!
We should always strive to grow to maturity and be consistent with our conscience. Danish existentialist philosopher, Soren Kierkegaard once said "Face the facts of being what you are, for that is what changes what you are."
Adaptability is Key
If the chameleon taught us one thing, it is that adaptability is the most important trait when it comes to surviving and thriving. If you can’t adapt, then the world will change around you and you will become an anachronism.
Think about Covid-19, the Coronavirus pandemic the way it affected our social interaction. Who would have known the democratic nations would one day stay in the lockdown for months? To avoid the severe economic impacts of the lockdown, then you must be able to adapt to the new norms of survival like working-from-home with a high degree of adaptability.
With that in mind, what benefit is there for you to actively refuse to adapt and grow for your own and other benefits? Your success matters to others because the rising tide lifts all boats.
Have you ever wanted to do something differently, or take a sudden change in your life, but felt enormous pressure from people’s expectations of you?
If the answers sound familiar, then, this is the trap I'm talking about. And the irony is that many people are caught in it: the truest version of ‘you’ is simply the ‘you’ that God wants you to be. He is your creator and knows well your yesterday and tomorrow. Abide by his salvation plan and see what you'll be in the process.
Be consistent with your conscience and follow the moral laws. The best way to be ‘you’ is to drop all other unrealistic expectations and simply act at the moment based on your higher spiritual quest. This is not only the first step towards the-best-version-of-you but also it'll be the giant leap towards your true freedom.
"But I warn you - unless your righteousness
is better than the righteousness of the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees,
you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven!"
Matthew 5: 20, NLT.
Here's a video for Priyanka Chopra's 12 Rules for Becoming the Best Version of Yourself. Priyanka Chopra Jonas is a model, actress, philanthropist, and former winner of Miss World 2000 pageant.
The right self-help book or course can be a tremendously powerful tool. I have personally seen it transform people’s lives: I’ve seen people go from being nervous, shy, and unconfident and become far more naturally attractive, confident, and interesting.
In fact, in the classical culture the most admired thinkers like Plato (The Republic), Aristotle (Nicomachean Ethics), Cicero, Seneca (on anger), Plutarch, and Marcus Aurelius (on meditation), all wrote the so-called, undeniably, self-help books.
They deployed every resource of intelligence, wit, and style in writing their manuals in order to make sure their message would delight the intellectual as well as emotional faculties and ultimately helps humanity to make progress in life.
But I would also argue on the damaging side of the self-help that things have been taken a little too far. There is so much self-help literature out there now and so much advice on how we can become better versions of who we are. But is it all constructive? If we consume everything labeled as self-help out there, are we really helping ourselves or damaging ourselves?
Why Self-Help Can be Damaging
While I’ve seen people who have been positively influenced by self-help texts, I’ve also seen people who have been damaged by them.
One of the most common ways this can happen is when self-help becomes a delay tactic. What I mean by this, is that people can use self-help as a means to delaythe work they actually should be doing to improve themselves. You should clearly understand that: there's no alternative to hard work! Except on rare occasions that the job may be easy depending on how much resourceful and expert you are.
People will buy a self-help book and then will instantly feel as though they are making good progress toward being a better version of themselves. They’ve made the effort by buying the book after all: so they can pat themselves on the back and keep on reading.
And then they buy the next book. And the next book. And they feel great about themselves except they haven’t actually changed anything.
Self-help is destructive when it ends up being a delay tactic. If you are only using it in theory and never in practice, then it is hindering rather than helping your progress.
Knowing Who to Trust
"Follow the advice of your own heart,
for it is devoted to you more than anyone is.
Sometimes our own mind
does a better job of keeping us informed
than seven watchmen sitting in a watchtower.
But above all these things
pray to the Most-High
that he may direct you along the path of truth."
Sirach 37:13-15, NLT.
The other issue is that self-help can be very mixed depending on where you get it from.
The problem with the internet is that anyone can contribute and there is lots of incentive to do so as a way to get views and thereby earn some cash.
The problem then is that you can end up following advice that is based on zero evidence and that has been written by someone in no position to be giving said advice. Hypocrites! They want to deal with your eyes' speck while they can't see clearly enough because of the log in their own eyes. First, they need to get rid of the log in their own eyes. They need to be honest in their approach.
It’s common knowledge for example that visualizing your goals can help you to get what you want from life. But did you know that this only works if you visualize them in the correct way? Some studies suggest that having a goal is much less important than having a plan.
So question what you read, act on it, and then decide what works for you personally.
"Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity,
but hasty short cuts lead to poverty."
Proverbs 21: 5, NLT.
The useful takeaway in the following video is that we should not give away, the power to change our life. To seek personal fulfillment we have to ask ourselves what we need to create instead of wallowing in self-judgment and trying to fix what isn't broken in real sense. The speaker concluded that: "Self-judgment can never, ever get you where you want to go."
Procrastination is something that can ruin your day, damage your career, and negatively impact your relationships.
Procrastination is doing low-priority tasks and activities instead of the high-priority ones which so often contribute the most to our long-term success. For some, procrastination becomes a harmful habit that impedes personal and professional development in their life.
If procrastination is so harmful, why do we do it anyway? We tend to put off doing things for the following three reasons: they are unpleasant to do, they are difficult or complex to do, and they involve making tough decisions that can be overwhelming to us.
Often, we laugh about procrastination as though it were an amusing habit and sometimes it can be. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t also incredibly destructive. Imagine it’s 4pm and you have work you desperately need to finish by 5pm but you can’t stop browsing Facebook or making trips to the kitchen for more cups of coffee.
What happens? One option is that you end up going home very late and lose out on time with your family. Another option is that you end up not finishing the work and starting the next day incredibly behind.
Either way, this is a serious problem. We got to do something!
So, what can you do about it? Here are a few tricks that can help you.
Start the Most Enjoyable Task First
One effective way to reduce your proneness to procrastination is to take on the easiest/most enjoyable task first. Our natural inclination is very often to handle the most difficult task first and to that way get it out of the way.
But if you’re struggling with motivation, then this is going to be a big up-hill struggle to get yourself to commit.
Instead, if the first task is something easier and more fun, then you’ll find you can work more easily without being distracted. And once you’ve done that, you should be in a slightly more work-oriented frame of mind to tackle the difficult part.
Coming to tackle that difficult part then it is advised that - if you could figure out how to break it into other smaller, easy, and manageable tasks then you'll find yourself doing the impossible without realizing it. Doing those small easy tasks can create what is known as a ripple effect of another positive small change, followed by another, etc. In other words, small positive changes can lead to other related big changes. Next thing you know, you've generated an unstoppable tidal wave of success!
Make it More Interesting
Procrastination often comes from one simple fact: the job you should be doing is unpleasant and boring. Hence you would rather be doing something else, pleasurable and interesting.
One simple solution is to make said task more enjoyable or interesting. This might mean turning letter stuffing into a game. Or it might mean providing yourself with a little stimulation: I will often write articles while watching videos on silent just to ensure that I have a bit of stimulation.
If you’re writing, then try to make the topic more interesting so that you’ll be less likely to be bored. If you’re bored writing it, then it’s probably not going to be great to read!
Finally, note that we are much more prone to procrastination when we’re tired. Why? Because will-power requires energy. When you take that energy away, it becomes much easier to be distracted or interested in other things. Give yourself more energy by sleeping better, by eating supplements that boost energy levels and by avoiding stressful events wherever possible.
Another thing you could try to boost your energy is by doing exercises regularly. Exercise almost guarantees that you'll sleep more soundly. It also gives your cells more energy to burn and circulates oxygen in your body. And exercising causes your body to release epinephrine and norepinephrine, stress hormones that in modest amounts can make you feel good and energized. Even a brisk walk is a good start to reap the benefits of exercising.
Procrastination is a habit, so you've to break it by stopping making those excuses, and start doing your tasks!
"We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us.
The night is coming, and then no one can work.
But while I am here in the world,
I am the light of the world."
John 9:4-5, NLT.
Here's a video that offers advice on overcoming procrastination by applying the knowledge of self-worth theory.
Are you on the fence about meditation? Then let’s make things a little simpler for you: this is something that you should absolutely do.
At first, you should know that meditation on its own is a tool. A method for seeking the personal deeper meaning of life and spiritual growth.
Meditation is an incredibly useful skill and a form of brain training that can help to fortify your mind and make you more effective in a wide range of situations. In this post, we’ll take a look at some of the most important reasons you should consider taking up meditation no matter who you are.
It Thickens Your Brain
Believe it or not, meditation can physically change the shape of your brain, making it thicker, stronger, and better connected. Studies show that meditation increases the amount of white matter (cells that support the neurons) as well as cortical thickness in the all-important frontal regions.
This correlates with improved attention, better memory, and faster processing speeds. In short: meditation makes you smarter!
It Helps You Deal With Stress
Meditation is a tool that you can use whenever you need to escape from the rigors of daily life. This is a ‘place’ you can escape to at any time, that allows you to rise above the various stressors and challenges that you normally face.
At the same time though, meditation also helps you to remain on a more even keel all the time and to keep your mind still and placid. This is not only an important change for your own wellbeing but also something that can have a profound effect on your ability to perform under pressure.
It Gives You Greater Emotional Control
If you want to come across as someone who is calm, collected, and on top of things, then keeping your emotions more even is one of the best ways to do that. We are instantly drawn to and impressed by people who seem to have their emotions under control and this is something that can help you to perform better in relationships, in your career, and more. If you seem to be constantly in a fluster on the other hand, then you’ll seem volatile, unpredictable, and potentially unreliable.
It Provides Mental Discipline
Meditation is the ultimate expression of self-discipline. This is the ability to sit quietly and not allow any distracting thoughts to derail your attempt to be calm and still.
If you can manage to resist the temptation to think about other things, then in daily life you’ll be able to resist other impulses and other things that are trying to distract you too. The interpretation of this is - you've more self-control and therefore it means you have more power to steer your life into the chosen direction of your vision.
"Study this Book of Instruction continually.
Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it.
Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This is my command - be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged.
For the LORD, your God is with you wherever you go."
Joshua 1:8-9, NLT.
Here is a video that can guide you on how to start doing meditation.
Improving your health and fitness doesn’t have to be hard work. Sure, building an athletic, cover-model body is not easy. But if your objective is simply to feel a little healthier, look a little better and put a bit of a spring in your step, then you have plenty of simple options.
And in fact, knowing these easy hacks to improve your wellbeing is actually crucial when it comes to getting that killer body too. Why? Because making these changes can give you the energy and the ability you need to make the bigger changes. These are those first small steps that make everything else possible along the journey.
Here are some good places to begin…
Swap All Your Drinks for Water
Recent studies suggest that swapping all your drinks for water can make huge differences to your energy levels, your weight loss, and even your mental focus. The reason for this is not only that you’ll be putting fewer empty calories into your body, but also that you’ll be increasing your metabolism to burn fat at a faster and more efficient rate.
And as to how much should you take per day, it is recommended that approximately 8 - 10 glasses of water per day, but you should know that there are no side-effects if you drink more and more. This daily water drinking can at least attain that level of hydration needed for your body to function at optimal health.
The fact about water is, our body parts comprise about 60% water and 90% of our blood content is water. Without water, our kidney can not function and your skin will develop premature wrinkles if you're too much dehydrated. Drinking water boosts skin health and beauty.
Get More Sleep
What could be easier than lying in bed longer? As it happens, this is actually one of the very best ways to burn more calories and will also help you to wake up feeling more refreshed, energized and rejuvenated, ready for the day ahead!
Sleep is the best-known antidote for tiredness. If you're tired then get some proper sleep and your exhausted energy will be replenished, you'll be fully charged, ready to tackle the day's challenges with much more vigor.
Research shows that your brain continues to work even when you are asleep. In fact, your brain and body stay remarkably active while you're asleep. Recent findings suggest that sleep plays a pivotal housekeeping role that removes toxins in your brain that build up while you are awake.
Research also shows that a chronic lack of sleep, or getting poor quality sleep, increases the risk of disorders including high blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, depression, and obesity.
"Moderate eating ensures sound sleep.
Those who practice it rise early and feel well.
But sleeplessness, nausea, and colic
cause distress for the glutton."
Sirach 31:20, NLT.
Walk More
You can burn a huge number of additional calories by walking to and from work, or just getting off your bus a stop later. This will not only burn calories but also help you to increase your physical fitness and to improve your resting heart rate. A lower resting heart rate means that you’ll feel calmer and less stressed and will reduce your chances of developing heart disease and other serious issues.
One of the things you could is taking a brisk walking. Brisk walking is good for your heart and increases the supply of oxygen needed for blood circulation. It also avoids the risk of cardiovascular diseases that attacks the heart and the blood vessels.
The normal recommended speed for brisk walking is 100 steps per minute. If you practice this form of walking you get two benefits, one is - you move faster and therefore get more things done, and second - your body is becoming healthy and fit. It's one of those few things you could do that have a double impact on your life.
Eat Fruits
Including fruits in your meal helps your digestive system to function at an optimal level. Fruits have many vitamins which are essential for your body functioning. Fruits also have antioxidant substances that can prevent or slow damage to cells caused by free radicals, unstable molecules that the body produces as a reaction to environmental and other bodily pressures.
Meditate
Okay, so getting into the habit of meditation isn’t easy per se. But doing it for just five minutes a day is a much easier habit and something that there’s really no excuse not to do. And the benefits of this practice are absolutely huge… so it’s time you gave it a try! Set a timer for five minutes before you start your day and tackle the day ahead calmer, happier, and more focussed.
You should understand that above all, meditation is a quest. The quest to understand the why and how in the spiritual life. If you read the Scriptures and meditating on it faithfully, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, then your inner self will be confronted by the word in such a way that your heart will be stirred to pass from thoughts to reality. This is possible because meditation engages four faculties: thoughts; imagination; emotions and desires.
To ensure your prayers are answered then the key is not in the number of words you say but the key is in the fervor of your soul. This is the intensity of your excitement and enthusiasm towards God.
To grow further, you could also try what is known as Contemplative Prayer. This is the inner prayer where the attention is fixed on the Lord our God himself. Unlike basic meditation where you must find the time and place to do it, but contemplative prayer from start to finish happens in your heart. Once you've mastered it, then you can do it always, anywhere - independently of external circumstances. The aim here is to let ourselves be purified and transformed.
"And this is God's plan.
Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News
share equally in the riches inherited by God's children.
Both are part of the same body and both enjoy
the promise of blessings
because they belong to Christ Jesus."
Ephesians 3:6, NLT.
Here's a video that explains clearly the difference between meditation and contemplation.
Supplement With Vitamin D
Recent studies show that this is more effective in combating colds and cases of flu than some vaccinations! And the best part of it is: you can get it alternatively direct from the sunlight without incurring any cost.
Smile Often
Smile is one of the priceless things you could do to improve your appearance tremendously. No kind of make-up can compete with what a smile could do to improve the look of your face. And you know what - it cost you nothing. All you have to do is to make your smile comes out naturally and authentically.
In neuroscience, the concept of ‘flow’ is currently a popular topic in the field.
Flow describes a specific mental state that allows us to focus intensely on a single task or subject matter. In this state, time will actually appear to dilate and slow around us, giving us more time to react and improving our performance significantly. At the same time, we become faster at solving problems and reacting and we can completely block out all distracting thoughts and temptations.
So, what is this ‘flow’ exactly and how does it come about?
Flow Explained
Flow is a state of deep absorption or concentration where individuals are able to function at their optimal capacity and tackle challenging endeavors with ease.
Flow can also be defined as a certain mental state in much the same way that the ‘fight or flight’ puts us into a particular state of mind. In fact, a flow state is very similar to the fight or flight response with the primary difference being that fight or flight makes us more panicked and distracted whereas flow is slightly calmer and more positive.
Both states though are triggered by a sense of danger and importance. When the body detects that it is in danger, or working toward a highly important goal, then it will produce chemicals such as dopamine, norepinephrine, endorphins, anandamide, serotonin, and cortisol. These increase the heart rate, contract the muscles, and generally make us more highly alert and ready for high-performance action.
The difference between normal action and an extra-ordinary action is that a flow state at extra-ordinary action produces serotonin (the feel-good hormone) and anandamide (the ‘bliss’ hormone). This makes the sensation far more euphoric and also makes us more creatively inclined. In other words: this is danger/importance with enjoyment and excitement.
Common ‘triggers’ of flow states include surfing, snowboarding, hight-stake sports, and sitting for examination when you've covered the subject thoroughly. This is any moment when you have lost track of time and what you are and instead begun to move purely through space without distraction.
This can also happen when you’re performing in a band and you become ‘one with the music’. Or when you’re engaged in fascinating discussion and you lose all track of time.
Or to put it into another perspective: take for the example the door with a number lock. To open that door, it is not enough to know the digits associated with that door, but you must know exactly the sequence they were configured or set. That is where the correct number "flow" becomes the key to the door. Your action to the task at hand comes naturally and in the right way as if you're connected or tapping from the river of cosmic powers.
“Anyone who believes in me may come and drink.
For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’”
John 7:38, NLT.
How to Access the state of Flow
So how do you access this incredible mental state and find your flow? The answer is that it requires you to focus 100% on what you’re doing by building up its importance in your mind. Using meditation can help you to generally improve your focus while practicing CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) can teach you to change the way you feel about different activities.
The sunlight, when converged by the convex lens to the point known as a focus, can cause sparks that lead to the flames of fire. Therefore, your 100% concentration and focus on a single task acts in the same way as your whole inner power is converged to that task, just like a convex lens does to the sunlight.
Ultimately though, you have to seriously remind yourself that: what you’re doing is more important and you should fully engage at that moment. Only then can you tap into your flow!
"All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms
because we are united with Christ."
Ephesians 1:3, NLT.
The following video provides an expert analysis from the world's leading expert in Ultimate Human Performance, Steven Kotler, the author of the book: Abundance: The Future is Better Than You Think. Here he makes a presentation of what is the state of flow in a nutshell.
When you think of becoming smarter, you probably think about studying hard, doing lots of math, and generally putting in time and effort. But what if I told you that you could get smarter by eating? We all love eating, so in theory, this should be no hardship at all. But if you choose your foods wisely, you’ll find it can make a significant difference to your brain function and overall mental performance…
So, without further ado, here are some of the top brain foods…
"Then God blessed them and said,
'Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the bird in the sky, and all the animals that move along the ground.'
Then God said,
'Look I've given you every seed-bearing plant throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food.'"
Genesis 1:28-29, NLT.
1. Oily Fish
Oily fish is absolutely crucial for optimum brain health. Why? Because it contains omega 3 fatty acids. This benefits our brain in two ways. Firstly, omega 3 fatty acids can be used to build cell walls. It is incorporated into their formulation, which means that lesser materials get replaced. In turn, this results in brain cells that are more flexible, more fluid, and less likely to become damaged.
Better yet, this also increases ‘cell membrane permeability’. In simple English, this means that neurotransmitters, nutrients, and key signals will pass through the cell walls more easily, allowing for speedier transmissions and improved communication across synapses.
On top of all this, omega 3 fatty acid also fights inflammation. Inflammation is actually a big deal in the brain, where pro-inflammatory cytokines can cause serious damage if left to their own devices. Brain inflammation is probably responsible for brain fog, so this is a quick and effective brain upgrade.
2. Eggs
Eggs contain all of the essential amino acids that humans need to thrive. This means that it contains all the proteins that are used to build muscle, skin, bone, and neurochemicals.
But what eggs also contain is choline. Choline is a chemical precursor to acetylcholine, meaning that it is what the brain uses in order to synthesize that ingredient. This is important for us because acetylcholine is the primary excitatory neurotransmitter in the brain alongside glutamate. This means it is used in many important operations and particularly when it comes to memory!
3. Avocado
Avocado is a healthy saturated fat, which is important because the brain is largely made from fat. It’s also another source of omega 3 fatty acid. But what is most exciting of all is that it contains lutein – a carotenoid that used to be known primarily for its eye-health benefits but which has since come to be seen as a powerful cognitive enhancer and energy booster!
Lastly, getting all the above foods is not enough although they can significantly improve your brain power by providing the necessary nourishment for your brain to function properly. You also need to practice both body and mind exercises. And if you want to be completely perfect then add spiritual exercises. Remember: The healthy mind stays in a healthy body.
"Physical training is good but training for godliness is much better,
promising benefits in this life and in the life to come."
